FIVE THINGS I’M CURIOUS ABOUT!

By Ebuka

1

I’m very curious about why women wear underwear; especially g-strings. I’ve struggled a few times to understand it. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not some pervert waiting to see women in short skirts flashing their bits everywhere. I’m just curious as to what purpose underwear serves. With guys, at least we know it’s meant to hold our bit nicely in place. What role does an underwear or g-string serve on a woman?

I’m curious about Presidents and tattoos. I know it’s such a mundane thing to worry about but I really do keep imagining if any world leaders have tattoos and how many of them do. Whenever I see them on TV, it always comes to mind. Tony Abbott with a tattoo down his arm. Kim Jung Un with a tramp stamp? Who knows? Tattoos are still looked upon as very unprofessional so it would be nice to know how many heads of state are rebellious. Or maybe first ladies.

I’m curious about Bonang’s hair. I, like many others, am an admirer of her style and her immense PR machine. But it seems like every time I see a flawless picture of her, she’s wearing a wig. Now, I agree there’s nothing wrong with wearing wigs/weaves. They are very popular these days, especially here in Lagos. It’s just that, I’ve never seen Bonang without them and it makes me wonder.

Going deep a bit, I’m curious about what happens when we die. Is there really an afterlife? If there is, do we come back after death as humans or as other things? Like, will I end up as a tree in Mallorca or as a turtle in the Seychelles? Or do we even get to choose what we come back as (I’d like to come back as a Japanese pop star living in Tokyo). Or most importantly, if we die and there’s nothing else out there, what then are we here for?

I’m curious about a PSquare and Usher collaboration. I once had a bet with a friend that it would happen before 2012. The best thing about that bet was that the year passed by and my friend didn’t remember to redeem his debt from me. He still hasn’t. So whenever it eventually happens, I‘ll go tell my friend I won. Because we all would have won anyway. Can’t wait.
