There is a new BET Channel Launching on channel 129 today, 2 April 2015 and it includes both international and local shows. Being Mary Jane,  Real Husbands of Hollywood and a local show we are excited about, Top Actor!

Top Actor is hosted by actress, Zikhona Sodlaka! Twelve of the best up and coming actors in SA have been selected to struggle it out on camera, in front of big industry names hailing from Hollywood and South Africa for the inaugural title of “Top Actor”.

Living under one roof, there will be drama in the house and on the screen as they compete on actual film and television sets for a career-launching prize package. The young hopefuls face elimination every week based on their performance in the various demanding acting challenges.

And of course, there is that special, special show, Being Mary Jane! If you have not seen this, we will not ask what rock you have been living under, instead we will encourage you to tune in to BET every Thursday, to watch! BUT…. start from Season 1, it’s our best season so far!

Season 2 has career woman Mary Jane juggling more than she can handle. Her career at her cable network takes a different turn as she challenges her viewers to rethink what it means to be “black” in the United States of America, whilst being caught in the middle of a family feud which causes her family to take sides. To cap it all, Mary Jane is STILL trying in every possible way to conceive a child, just as she is opening her heart to new love.

Gabrielle Union is supported by cast of veteran actors including  Richard Roundtree, Margaret Avery, Lisa Vidal, Richard Brooks, Raven Goodwin, B.J Britt, Aaron Spears, Latarsha Rose and Stephen Bishop.
