Can you sing? The Lion King auditions are here. Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town will play host in search for undiscovered talent.
Audition details are as follows:
- Johannesburg –6th September at Bassline in Newtown
- Durban –9th September at the BAT Centre.
- Cape Town–11th September at the Jazzart Dance Threatre
The audition times in all three cities is 9am-2pm.
The auditions are open to both male and female singers of all races within the age group of 18-29. Although advantageous, experience is not necessary, therefore both professional and non-professionals are encouraged to attend the auditions.

The Lion King is an award-winning Broadway musical that has been running in various countries for the last 18 years, and continues to enthrall an ever-growing audience globally. It is currently the longest running Broadway musical in the world and also the highest grossing, having surpassed the $1 billion dollar mark.
These auditions are for all The Lion King productions which are currently running in countries such as; The US, The UK, Mexico, Germany, Spain, Australia and two other productions that are about to open.
