So much to catch up on from last week to this week, from Halle Berry’s exes coming for her to K Michelle kissing her booty bye bye.
In Couples:
Since Halle Berry’s divorce announcement from French hottie, Olivier Martinez her exes have come out of the wood works to say their piece. First it was her first husband David Justice who in a series of tweets accused Halle of lying and not fighting fair after their divorce and also being a common denominator throughout her failed marriages. Eric Benet then jumped in to say how much truth David was sharing through his tweets. The consensus between the two exes (and of course we know Gabriel also feels the same) is that Halle’s management “cleans up”her relationship mess to exonerate her and give the blame to the other party all in the name of her image. I love me some Halle and I am not sure if it’s her or she’s just been unlucky in love. All I will say is just like Liz Taylor you’re allowed to marry as many times as you can until you find your true love.
Speaking of breaks up. Rick Ross the biggest (literally) boss has called off his engagement to video thot Lira Galore. I don’t know why I am not surprised by this, from what it looks like, it seems Lira has been that’s been on a lot beds of men in the industry and maybe Rozay thought he could do better. I’m just confused as to why thots get wifed up and yet “stable” and “sane” girls like Sanna Lathan are still not wifed up.
Congrats to Eddie Murphy and girlfriend Paige Butcher, the couple are expecting their first child together and Eddie’s 9th. Eddie does know how to sow his seeds. Interesting fact: Paige is Russell Simmons ex girlfriend, you know the ones that are interviewed by Kimora-Lee. Clearly she has a type and/or a career in dating older and wealthy men.
Also congratulations to our girl, singer Melanie Fiona who announced on her IG that she was expecting her first child with a man called Jared (musician). What happened to Melanie musically? Was she dropped by Roc Nation? Remember when she first belted out 4AM? I got into my feelings. Anyway congrats to her and her boo.
In Other News:
K. Michelle dropped an unexpected bomb last week when she announced that she will be going in to reconstruct her bum. She says she feels that it makes people not take her serious (gee ya think?) and also she never gets designer dresses that can fit her humongous behind. I say kudos to her. That back side made her look very unnatural it was scary. I am glad she saw the light, let’s wait for the other girls to follow suit.
Somebody is pissed. Model Jourdan Dunn is letting it be known that she doesn’t give two cents about not walking this year’s Victoria Secret Show after the fantasy lingerie house reportedly booted her out of their line up of girls. VS however included two new kids on the block, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. I smell all kinds of beef coming up with this one.
Speaking of the Victoria Secret Show, Rihanna has also dropped out of performing at this year’s soiree claiming that she is not ready to perform new material and also that she needs to be in the studio to finish up her new album Anti. Reports are calling this bluff and saying that Rihanna and her camp are sweating the whole Adele, 25 release and do not want Rihanna to take hits should Adele’s sales beat Rihanna’s, Anti has also been pushed back to a later date that is still yet to be confirmed.
In Birthdays:
The Kardashian Matriarch, Kris Jenner celebrated her 60th birthday this past weekend in a star-studded The Great Gatsby themed party and if IG is anything to go by the event was a hot ticket. Everyone who’s anyone was there from TV royalty, Will and Jada Smith to Beyonce’s mother Tina Lawson who posted a few pics of her and Kris on her Instagram, to Balmain creative director, Olivier Rousteing. I cannot believe Kris is 60, she looks stunning.
Another beauty also celebrated her birthday. Gabrielle Union had a “school daze” themed party to celebrate her 43rd birthday and yes you read that right 4-3! Whatever Gabrielle does with her skin, she should keep on doing it, girlfriend has amazing, youthful skin. I also love those braids on her.
In Movies:
Spike Lee is getting a lot of flack for his new movie Chi-Raq which based on the city of Chicago and it’s notorious crime and deaths. People feel like likening the city to Iraq was a bit of a stretch and that he could have highlighted the other, nicer side of the city. Well I think there’s nothing wrong with movie and the title, there’s no reason to sugarcoat appalling death stats in the name of how other people are going to fell about it. I think that unfortunately is the reason why some societies or states fall because they would rather sweep issues under the carpet than address them.
You’ll be happy to know that the cast of ATL the movie 2 is on-set and shooting the sequel to the first installment ATL. I liked that movie, easy to watch and not much concentration needed plus Lauren London was too cute to and great stare at.
In New Music:
Tinashe’s video for Player featuring Chris Brown is out and I am feeling it. I love the concept however I feel cheated, I expected the finale “dance-off” between her and Chris to be fire but it was basically non-existent. Other than that, Tinashe’s dancing skills are on point. You can watch the video HERE!
