I hope we all had a great weekend. Let’s get into it, we have a lot to catch up on as far as international news go.
Yummy couple, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello finally said I do with a lavish ceremony with a star-studded guest list from Modern Family co-stars, Reese Witherspoon to a surprise performance by Pitbull.Congrats to the newly weds. These two are a genetic lottery like Lee-Anne Liebenberg and her hubby.
So we all know the beast that is Adele dropped 25 on the 20th and got all of us all in our feelings. At the moment I am slightly obsessed with “Water Under The Bridge & River Lea” what is your favourite track at the moment? Speaking of Adele, she is addressing the Beyonce rumours. If you haven’t heard them, they say apparently Adele refused to collaborate with Bey for her new album but she says in her words ” should never disrespect Bey that way”. Interesting , I believe that she probably turned down Bey and not in a mean spirited way but if whatever Bey was coming with would not fit her style, then why do it? I think she is just playing nice. She also dropped songs written by Pharell and Sia off her album because she felt that they were not “Adele-esque”.
So Rihanna is not listening to all of you haters who suggested that she waits for Adele’s reign to be over before the release ANTI. Rih’s ANTI World Tour tickets will be on sale on the 3rd of December and honestly I think the sales will be great. Riri has also released a teaser for ANTI via her Samsung app. So ANTI is almost here, I cannot wait to see how she performs sales wise. I know for sure that the navy leader BS cannot wait either.
Still on music, Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay revealed that Beyonce and Blue Ivy will be featured in the new Coldplay album. I love their music so I am definitely looking forward to it. He mentioned that Bey will be singing on a dance track inspired by “Turn Down For What” which I have to say threw me off but Coldplay has been genius so we will have to see what they cook up.
Billboard magazine revealed their 10 greatest rappers of all time and Tupac is nowhere ti be seen on the list and this got people pissed. Do you agree with all the MC’s in here?
Okay can we have a moment of silence for Mel-B and her daughter. When I saw this picture I actually thought that was some colleague or at least a sister. Mel looks amazing and so does Phoenix Chi.
Missy Elliot is back and she’s snatching weaves and throwing slight shade at Nicki Minaj. Missy’s new song, comeback hit WTF broke the internet a few weeks ago and rightfully so, Missy is one of the most talented musicians on the scene since back when. She’s saying that her comeback was orchestrated as she knew that people are quick to throw the “non-factor” / “irrelevant” term around so for her she had to position herself in a spot where she slays without question and bravo. Did you know she had a full blown panic attack before the Superbowl performance with Katy Perry? Interesting. She also shades Nicki a little after being asked what she thinks of the Femcee and how she has inspired her work, Missy responded with a “there can only be one Missy” and then added that there’s enough space for a lot more females in rap – which is true. 
Oprah and Shonda Rhimes sat down for a talk and amongst other things discussed was their decisions not to marry. Shonda mentioned that it has never been part of her plans and that she likes having a boyfriend but she does not want a husband in her house – independent woman vibes. Oprah shared on how she actually wanted to get married but she and Stedman postponed their marriage in 1993 and that has been it and since then she has not found the need to “solidify” their union with a marriage. Interesting, your thoughts? 
Starlet Zendaya was honoured at the Madame Tussauds museum in San Francisco with two wax figures. Good for a girl in her early twenties, she’s not doing bad. I have to say I only see her on red carpets maybe it’s because her career is much more teen/tween focused but I am interested to see how she’s going to grow her brand further as she gets older.
Tyra Banks has bid farewell to her talkshow – The FabLife leaving co-hosts who include Chrissy Tiegen to carry the ship further. Me thinks, Tyra does not want to have another flop of a talk show, let’s face it the ratings for the who have not been great and also, talk isn’t Tyra’s strongest point. The mogul cites her growing beauty company, Tyra beauty as the reason for the departure – well all the best to her. 
Someone on JC schooled me on the Morris Chestnut series, Rosewood (still haven’t watched it) but you’ll be glad to know what Tia Mowry is set to join the cast of the show. Between Rosewood and her cooking show Tia will be back to busy. I have noticed how Tia is always getting roles, good for her. It must be the discipline and respect for her craft cause we know how many black actresses complain about not getting jobs (read the Hollywood Divas). Clearly she is doing something right. 
This is the picture King Kylie (Jenner) posted on her snapchat after reports of her and Tyga breaking up. I cannot keep up with Kylie and Tyga, a few days back, it was reported Kylie had dumped Tyga over arguments on who’s career is more important and also something that Tyga did that set her off. She was caught trolling the town with A$AP Rocky and now this. Someone is seeking some attention but then again when you’re a Kardashian-Jenner how else do you conduct fame? 
Scratch the armpit stain, this is how you go through divorce, Halle Berry looks amazing. This is what ageing has becoming in the new era so we all have no excuse to be looking 45 in our 20’s. Amen bazalwane!
