There’s quite a few stunning covers internationally that I thought I will share with you. Let’s see who’s bringing out the fashion guns on the covers.
My girl Lupita Nyong’o is rocking not one but two magazine covers at the same time. On Essence Lupita’s skin looks radiant, glowing and she speaks about her new, now Broadway show Eclipsed written by Zimbabwean actress (The Walking Dead) Danai Gurira.
Lupita is still doing her press rounds on Rhapsody magazine while bringing the fashion to the fore-front as usual with a textured bob hair-do. I love me some Lupita – but then again you already know this. All I want to know now is where are the movies. I feel like the only big role has been Patsy in 12 years a slave because that Liam Neeson movie did not count at all. I hope her Star Wars role is a little more than a cameo.
Speaking of African talent on International magazine covers, Uzo Aduba graces Brooklyn magazine with hair layed for the gods. I have fallen in love with Uzo so much over the years – she’s talent and pure grace. I like how this magazine looks like a coffee table book.
Is it me of Disney star, Zendaya Coleman has been on a lot of magazine covers this year, 2016 seems to have been her year. She has definitely grown on me. In Complex magazine Zendaya speaks out on her pulling out of the Aaliyah movie, she says that one of the factors for her was that no one working on the movie had ever met or known Aaliyah and that for her felt like an injustice to tell a story about someone just from reading on her life and watching her interviews – dare I say those were great points.
Hailed as the next Michael Phelps, 15 year old Reece Whitley covers Sports Illustrated Kids. I hope his career flourishes to Olympic status and beyond, it’s high time swimming had a victorious black face at the fore front.
Kylie Jenner aka King Kylie is gracing the art issue of Interview magazine channeling Lady Gaga circa Paparazzi. Kylie has become so infamous over the past year so much that she’s almost the new IT Girl in every circle, I’m just curious if this is all orchestrated or if she’s just being a teenager acting out they all do.
Sandra Bullock covers People Magazine with her son Louis and her new little daughter Laila. That is one super cute family – I love seeing Sandra on mommy mode. 
King James aka LeBron James is on Sports Illustrated rounding up our cover wars looking suave as always. Can you believe LeBron is only turning 31 on December 30th? I always assumed he was a little older than his, I have to say though, he has grown into quite a seasoned man over the years and one thing that is very endearing about him is that he’s still with his high school sweetheart turned baby mama turned wife, Savannah James.
