5 Things Jankie Is Curious About!

1.

I’m curious about why South African Radio still plays more international music than local. I’ve been told that there are laws that are put in place hence such is happening. How do we grow an industry that has already dropped the gold and platinum status? When our priorities are focused on overseas material. I mean the world and our country have evolved to such an extent that we cannot keep on depending on others but ourselves as Africans and not just South Africans

2.

I’m curious on why South African talent shows do not embrace local material. South Africa likes to be a copycat country. If you do not sing like Mariah Carey or dance like Chris Brown, you don’t cut the act. Many young talents are being killed by drugs, alcohol and the streets because their talents are not being recognized and developed by the time they reach adolescence. This is just killing opportunities.

3.

I’m curious why Women have lost their sense of culture and basic home teachings. Young girls either can’t even cook or they don’t even wear head gear when going to a funeral, church or a cleansing. There are power struggles in the house hold only because some women take empowerment just a bit too far. Too many young girls get inspiration from celebrities that don’t have self-value, but chase the lime light as though they can’t live without it.

4.

I’m curious on why South Africa’s educational system has no value to the future of our country and continent. We keep teaching our children to be followers and not leaders. We teach them to become part of the work force and not chase their dreams. We are deliberately keeping their minds in chains and not let them wonder why we still live in poverty while the rich get richer. We let them aspire to be like the ghetto celebrities and drive stolen hot cars with a no sense of culture woman in the passenger.

5.

I’m curious why community building ideas by young people are stolen by counselors and tenderprenuers. Money killed the future of youth, because instead of giving opportunities to them, government or ruling party members are playing Animal Farm with the community. We are equal, but others are more equal than others. How do you find a solution if you are part of the problem? Or how do you develop something if you are not the brain child?
