So yesterday hundreds and hundreds of people took to the streets of Mzansi on a #ZumaMustFallMarch. This was to force President Jacob Zuma to step down.
This march was fueled by the unexpected dismissal of the then Finance Minister, Nhlanhla Nene. The president decided to appoint David van Rooyen as Nene’s replacement. 4 days later, David was shown the exit door and was replaced by Pravin Gordhan. This left us in shock. We’ve had 3 Finance Ministers in one week?? WOW!!
Anyway, with all this going on and messing up our economy, some people felt ‘enough is enough’ and went on a march.
Most people on social media went on their own internet ‘match’ criticizing the #ZumaMustFallMarch. They felt like it was race driven because some of the marchers had the Apartheid flag flying high.
Most people felt like, it was a march by whites about blacks.
Everybody had something to say
Ku tough!!
Before going through the #ZumaMustFallMarch hash tag, I also thought this was a whites only march. And that was based on what I was seeing on my TL.
This man took it to another level shem.
And the creatives, made their presence felt too. Is the picture on the right for real tho? I mean, was it taken during this march?
When I came across this tweet, I decided to ask on my social media pages; I wanted to know if any of my online friends took part in the march so I can at least hear about it from the horse’s mouth but I didn’t get any responses from anyone that went. So this means no one I know actually went?
What are your thoughts on this march? Did you take part? If you did, then please share with us your experience and your reasons for going. If you didn’t join the march, what are your reasons?
