We have come to the end of the road in the Flabba case ‘for now’. Nkululeko Flabba Habedi was stabbed to death a year ago by his girlfriend Sindisiwe Manqele.
Sindisiwe pleaded self defense but she was found guilty of murder. She has just been sentenced and she got 12years. Judge Solly Sithole said in this case there are compelling circumstances making her give Sindi a lighter sentence than prescribed. According to the Judge, Sindi had no other criminal records, she was a first time offender.
“It is recommended that you not be granted parole until you serve 2 thirds of your sentence (8 years)” – Sithole
Sindi’s lawyers have made a formal bail application – reading her affidavit – ‘the findings of the court will be challenged’ via @Bongiwe_Khumalo
Do you think the judge was fair? Was justice served?
