I know this is delayed but technology was against us, lets start!

This part Sunday we saw our first live SA Idols Season 12 Top 16, ladies Top 8 performances and boy were they LIT! The opening was EVERYTHING including savings and investment portfolio, that’s how incredibly awesome it was. I wish someone with bigger powers could show Rihanna how South African Top 8 ladies rocked, killed, buried and cremated here WORK rendition… I could watch that over and over and never get bored, The ladies voices blended and shone when needed to. All of them were perfection! Guest appearance Babes Wodumo (whom needs a bit of Idols training for mic handling) together with Dj Tira kept the fire burning on the Idols stage at State Theatre as well.

This weeks theme for the ladies was  “Hits of the Last Decade”

and I will start with my worst performance(s):

Nosihe

Nosihe Zama Zulu closed up the show with a more than horrible rendition of Beyonce’s XO. she definitely has to go. She does not belong to be in our Top 10… remember what I said about her last week…I honestly don’t know how this girl made it to Top 16, it’s evident she went for vocal training/consultation after her golden ticket but she still does not cut it for me, there were mush more talented girls than her. She does not have what it takes.

Luke

I don’t want Nontobeko “Luke” Ntombela to go shem because she is a talent however based on her song choice Yoga by Jhanelle Mone feat. Jadena. and performance I have no choice but to put her up. She was underwhelming!

Okay I have no-one else to put…

Siyakha

Siyakhanya Tshayela, I love. she chose to sing a song I have never heard of Valelisa by Trademark and Zinhle Ngidi and she sang it well. She gave it life! SA please keep her on. I must say I heard a lot of Lebo Mathosa on her vocals. ezomqala?

Noma

The Star of the night to most South Africans was student teacher Nomalungelo Noxolo Khumalo , she chose to sing Rihanna’s Stay feat. Mikky Ekko. And sang to stay! I’m confident she is making it to the Top 10!

Valentine

One of my faves Valentine Mathe opened up the show with Beyonce’s Halo

goosebumps galore!

LuciaAnother favourite of mines is Lucia Jakeni, who chose to sing Adele’s Send My Love (To Your New Lover) … I a bit on the fence here however she managed to show off  her vocals in as much as I felt she was sinking.

Amanda

Amanda Kunene performance was okay not WOW just okay but the song she chose to sing Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman is Mjita’s favourite song so I loved it! LOL

Sgherdeed

Performance of the night to me goes without saying to Sgherdeed Ross Deep in the Bottom by Black Coffee feat. Monique Bingham, I danced throughout her showcasing! I enjoyed it and I loved it!

Who will you be voting for?
