The best thing to do for poor people is not to be one of them [U nga teki mbyana u ri mbyana].

We have have all experienced the impact of finance in relationships [not sure if born-frees relate]. I have to say, being in a relationship while poor is difficult and ego threatening. A man must definitely provide and protect but in no way should he only provide and protect for a poor woman.
.
Being poor is difficult as it is alone, why should a man take in more responsibility? What does this woman bring into the relationship, no education and a bad spending habit? What does one gain in dating a poor person; worse marry one, what does your union mean for your children?
I have to applaud all tribes and races that breed men of wealth, who then guarantee that their children are born into trust funds with millions. What happens if I cannot provide for her and our children tomorrow, more members to the exclusive BBR [being broke rocks] “force or service”. We are then locked in a system where we cannot take any financial risks as we have a +1 dependant on us.
From house wife to single mother, that is my mother’s story. I remember a young girl scared and confused, her husband died and left her with a big headed son with temper issues. She did not bother to educate herself, she had her husband and life was perfect until we lost him. She married young and he died young, she had to be a mother and turn R1000 into R10000.
It hurts being poor, why drag someone’s daughter into this vicious realm and also bring an innocent soul to a world of poverty. Poor people should not be allowed to have children until they get their lives in order, we cannot keep breeding poverty. We need to be financially enlightened, let us have daughters with trust funds and wealthy sons. Let us end this monkey like behavior of failing to do better with our lives, we may not choose the conditions we are born into but we are responsible for how our lives turn out.
What is your take on the matter, should poor people be allowed to marry and breed, or date at that? Would you allow your daughter to marry a poor man?
