New York Fashion Week is currently underway and my girl Kelly Rowland has switched up her hair into an Anna Wintour-esque bob and made her way to every show that she can. I have to say I am not sure about some of those ensembles but then again it is fashion week, some of that fashion is down right stupid.
I like this dress, the print the design but there is something “basic” about it and We are not here for basicness. We want beeshes to bow. So verdict = lukewarm.
All black everything with turquoise hints. I like this one but I hate those Alaia boots with this get up. Strappy scandals would have worked. I know it’s winter there but fashion is pain…sometimes be it on account of weather, small size or bank balance. And damn she needs to give those boots a rest. She be wearing them…A LOT!
I like how eadge this is. I’m not a fan of poncho looking things with tassels but this works. It serves expensive edgy, like I could be a hippie but a rich hippie who doesn’t kumbaya.
I really want to ask what she was thinking with this one. I think Riri is one of the few people that can pull this off. and I suggest if she wanted to do it, strappy black heels, with messy bedroom hair would have sealed the deal. Damn those shoes are giving me a stroke. Really? I don’t care if they are Balenciaga some things are just ugly, if you are not at Arts On Main there is no excuse to wear ugly things.
I love everything about this look. it’s very OTT in a tasteful way. It serves fashion beast gangsta, I like. I have said no one pulls off metallics like JLo and I will maintain my statement. This look gives me 3 lives. It’s still lives though.
These two looks had me thinking somebody needs to be fired. Left: love the cape, there goes those Alaia boots again. The skirt is a the mess dot com. Something about pleated skirts just scream circa Sophiatown and not the cute Sophiatown era. RIGHT: I love the cape too and the jumpsuit is cute a little been done though. I love those Alaia boots with that get up, that works there. The bob is cute how ever it needs good angles, sometimes it makes her Riri fivehead look ridiculous.
Do the pretty girl rock Kelly. And oh she turned 33 on the 11th (she shares a birthday with Brandy who turned 35) . Kelly celebrated with Beyonce, Solange and Angie Beyince and crew. No michele in sight. I’m not starting nothing but Michele uyavalelwa ngaphandle shem. Also Kelly received the news that X-Factor USA has been axed by Fox so she is kinda jobless for now but with endorsements for Jaguar, TW Steel, fitness DVDs, being an extra in Beyonce’s videos and working on her new album we should see more of her soon. Shout to to fellow RowlandStones. 
Speaking of fashion, have you heard the rumour that Anna Wintour is grooming Sarah Jessica Parker (aka Carrie Bradshaw from Sex & The City) to be her successor as the editor at large of Vogue magazine. Although this has been denied and shot down, I think that is a brilliant choice because of her character from SATC being very fashion forward. However SJP seems too sweet and I think anyone who takes over Vogue should have a mean girl, ice queen side, think Victoria Beckham. She could work, hell I wouldn’t mind if Naomi Campbell was also considered. she has a well knowledge about the fashion industry and having served as an editor at some Russian fashion magazine I am sure she has something to offer. In the mean time we can give Anna a few and another few years before she hangs her bob and calls it quits. VOGUE!
