I wonder. All this heartbreak we often talk about. Getting our hearts broken, disappointed and dumped by boyfriends… would it have been JUST AS SORE had we not had sex with them? Is the loss so bad because we had given so much of ourselves to them? Given our all… and left nothing to the imagination?
A part of me says the pain would definitely not have been as severe.
But then… if that’s the case and a girl wants to save herself the pain and rather “wait”… how difficult is it to stop.. successfully when you’ve had sex, enjoyed sex and made it a part of any relationship you go into?
Do you know anyone who stopped and never looked back? Did you stop? How did you do it?
There’s the forgotten concept of No Sex Before Marriage… It seems crazy doesn’t it? In a world this sexy, the church is telling young people to stay pure.. How?? When it’s in our faces all the time?
I also wonder. If /when those who try and abstain till they marry trip and fall… how difficult is it to get up and try again? Do they just say arggg.. I did it, so I might as well continue..?
I remember a time when we felt guilty and hid that we were sexually active. When did things change? These days we talk about our sexual activities with such pride.
Anyway… back to my original question:
When you’ve had sex, enjoyed sex, can you stop? Successfully?
