Our Perfect Wedding – Episode 12

“No relationship is all sunshine, but two people can share one umbrella and survive the storm together” that’s what yesterday’s couple on Our Perfect Wedding proved to many that even if you go through trials and tribulations, if you both want the same thing in the end it will all work out.

Leon and Joyce are from Ekurhuleni in Johannesburg and they have been dating for 14 years, and it wasn’t an easy journey for the lady because her man was some Casanova that just had a thing for women back in the day and as a result he now has 4 children with different mother and the saddest part is, the bride to be doesn’t have a child with her man. When they first started dating she knew of one child and she accepted that but her man just could not behave and went to have three other children. You could see she was getting emotional even talking about it but she decided to even stay with one of the children, I don’t know how many women would do what she did. For that I think she deserves a Bells, for she went through so much because she loved her man.

The couple’s wish list:

  • Helicopter
  • Dress
  • Décor
  • The dance step

Preparations

ü  The couple wanted a helicopter even though the groom was worried the bride-to-be would vomit, the helicopter was said to be four (4) seater.

ü  The bride loved everything about her dress.

ü  The décor lady was not ready by the time the bride went to check how far she was and she looked disappointed too.

Day 1

The bride looked very happy for she was glowing in her white dress, her brides maids were dressed in gold dresses with grey shoes. While the groom had a black suit with grey coat inside and the groom’s men had on grey suits with gold coats to match the bride’s maids. They all just looked perfect. The church service was nice and short with them saying their vows and that long kiss was something else. After the church service they took their helicopter ride to what looked like a stadium, where they would then be escorted by bikers to the bride’s place for the reception. For the traditional attire they wore the Tsonga tradition to represent the bride’s culture I loved the maid of honour’s dress more than the bride’s outfit but the men’s floral shirts were just too bright for my liking but either than that they looked good and their dance practices surely paid off because they all got down. The décor lady managed to pull it off and everything was looking beautiful even though she took her time, but I didn’t see a the silver the bride wanted because she said her theme was gold and silver with a white carpet.

Day 2 (Dondoni in Mpumalanga)

Due to culture the groom’s mother could not attend the ceremony at the bride’s place, so I guess she was excited for day two of the wedding to couple her makoti. On arrival the umembeso ceremony had to be done, before the couple could change into their Swati traditional clothes. Their Swati attire was really simple J

This couple looked very happy together I hope the groom will be a better husband to his newly wed wife because she has been through too much pain but in her end, she got her fairytale wedding. I’m still not sure if I liked the white dress, so I won’t say much about it. I rate them an 8/10.

What did you guys like or dislike about this wedding?
