Mlungisi and Beauty are a beautiful young couple from Pretoria who were just meant to be together from what I hear. After years of proposing to Beauty since high school, she later gave in and decided to give him a chance finally. Two weeks into their relationship they got separated by distance when Mlungisi was sent to Sudan for six months because of work but soon after his return he decided to leave the military because he could no longer live apart from Beauty.

3days to go
The groom accompanied by his best man, sister and the maid of honour went to town to get their suits and I must say the brothers are looking so FINE. On the big day the groom will wear a grey suit, white shirt, and creamish waistcoat and his groomsmen will wear black suits, white shirts and yellow waistcoats and yellow ties. The ladies will wear light yellow dresses with lime belts and their traditional dresses are modern, different and funky too.
2days to go
With respect to the Ndebele tradition the bride has to stay indoors at her in-law’s place for at least a week, so the groom and maid of honour had to do all the run around on her behalf. First on the list was to check the cake. The bride requested 4 layers with fresh yellow roses and two cakes for the traditional ceremony.
Food: The catering lady explained what will be served on both days and I must say sounded very delicious and looked colourful and appetizing.
A day before the big day
The elders will take the bride home wearing her marital Ndebele traditional attire and take cattle to the bride’s house.
Wedding Day 1
The couple decided to do things a little different and have their traditional mini wedding today, were both families will exchange gifts and the bride-to-be will come out of her parents’ house with her marital Ndebele attire given to her by her in-laws and this will be the first time other guests will see her before the big day.
Wedding Day 2
The father of the bride introduced the couple to the guests before the service started. The priest blessed their union; they said their vows and exchanged rings. They kissed and walked down the aisle again as husband and wife to take pictures of their big day. Back at home the décor is looking so beautiful; the couple arrived in style as they danced their way inside the tent.
The couple made their speeches and my heart just melted as the bride expressed how much she loved her man. The groom’s speech was nice and short though. Then it was lunch time and the food looked delicious and colourful too.
After having lunch the couple went to the groom’s place, the décor was bright with Ndebele colours all around. The couple wore their traditional colours with pride and that was it for the day.
# I loved this couple they looked genuinely happy and in love with each other, you could tell how happy the groom was on the wedding day, tjo priceless moment when Phumeza asked him and the groomsmen to show her their dance step. I rate them an 8/10.
