While sipping away at the after party venue, I spotted JC’s Favourite actress of the moment, Samukelo Ndlovu, so I asked a friend to ask her, as they say in Chinese “wa weng wong”…when she had that one-sided spat at our Boss Lady. Tjo, my friend put me on the spot and asked her the question (pointing at me, on my forehead), making it very obvious kuthi the question was from me. She explained that she is Xhosa and from Alex (lethal combination I take). Some of you JCers almost hit the mark with your “Alex rat” jabs. She further explained that “when I feel attacked, I retaliate”. Someone had mocked and forwarded her a tweet of the whole “dress omnibus comment”, all of this happened while she was in-between shoots, shooting 4 emotionally draining scenes for Rhythm City. As expected, she was a mess, and reacted emotionally to that tweet. She couldn’t understand why the JC that had always supported and given her some shine was now throwing such at her. She has nothing personal against Lelo, regrets the furore of attention that simple tweet got. (Dandruff mara? Le sele shwem!!!)

Don’t let that lip-gloss on Manaka Ranaka’s partner fool you, brother man put up a good fight to grab a goodie bag “for his woman” from the powerless PR ladies, who pleaded to his deaf ears that the goodie-bags were reserved for the nominees only.

After he succeeded, the hoodrat in me also demanded one.*hangs head in shame* To my dismay, the bag was full of self-tanning creams, skin exfoliators and anti-wrinkle night products for bommeKoekemoer. The only thing in the goody bag I can put to good use is the bottle of wine, where’s Manny Gupta & Lela?
