Hello hello Hi *in Dineo Moeketsi’s voice* I never thought I would say this, I miss seeing Dineo M on VEntertainment… Anywho, SA Idols are back for the Eleventh season and I thought since I have been following the competition I (with your help ofcourse) should do a Top 16 predictions before our judges feed us with their favourites Sunday.  Without wasting anytime masingene emxholweni: I will highlight(in bold) the names of people I think should go through.

Ruan
Ruan

In no order, Let me start with the person that came to mind 1st for elimination. Ruan sucked until the end. His pitching was off throughout the whole blarri song, he was just horrible. I don’t even know how he made it ku Top 29 and for that he is not making it to the Top 16.

Amanda
Amanda.

As young as Amanda is, she is to be taken serious. Her vocals are sharp, strong and she has been consistent from her 1st audition to her last solo where she murdered THE SONG. So for that I put her in the Top 16. Besides we need people from Port Elizabeth to prosper nabo tyhini!

Rhema.
Rhema.

I liked Rhema from his 1st Audition, he surprised the living lights out of me with his deep strong vocals. The only time he kinda of lost me is the “group” stages he was way too unsure but tried to pull himself together.

Phila.
Phila.

Eish I’m caught in the middle with this one, you see I personally like Phila I think he is an awesome dude however *shrugs* I don’t think his singing is GREAT when compared to the rest of the contestants.

Matthew.
Matthew.

Poor Matthew, hade mfethu you sucked on that song buddy… and the sad part is I don’t even recall any of your previous auditions which means you were not noticeable.

Lungisa.
Lungisa.

Dzamn Lungisa! is a gem. he fits the profile of an Idol :) I wish he were a little older so that I can perv on him kancane. Apart from his voice and dress code he has a beautiful set of teeth he reminds me of Tevin Campbell during his peak.

Nadia.
Nadia.

I love this chick, there’s something about her that makes me wanna stop everything I would doing and concentrate on her…that’s an Idol!. They gave Nadia one of my favourite songs by Shakira (Can’t remember to forget you) and she tried to deliver so for that I would put her through.

Nina.
Nina.

Beautiful voice with a dull personality is a bad combinations especially on a 16 year old. I think Nina should go home just to work on her aura abuye when she is old enough to fake a bubbly personality. But then again she sings very well. Okay this one I leave it to the judges.

Mlondi.
Mlondi.

Mlondi is a definite NO! just by looking at him I get turned off (musically). I feel Idols are not the platform for him he must try Imizwilili or that I want to sing gospel show. I’m not saying he can’t sing by his rural aura kills the excitement of anything that comes out of his mouth…In future he must stay away from singing in falsetto he sounds horrible. I’m sorry Mlondi you’re going home *in Unathi’s voice*

Loyiso.
Loyiso.

Stjoe! This boy  chazzard me waetsi. I’ve ticked all the boxes except for the age part, a 16 year old mmmhhhh He is really good and I’m putting him through. Loyiso for Idols!

Shenay!
Shenay!

Eish u-Shanay naye ngomunye whom I’m going to leave for the judges but I commend her for i-bravery. I would say she must/can go through to Top 16 for entertainment purposes ONLY! Other than that she combined with the guy inside her are not Idols material.

Dineo.
Dineo.

I loved Dineo last season and I still love her today!

Mmatema
Mmatema.

After her Sky Skryper perfomance I see she does not belong on the Idols stage. I see her as a signed artist. Mmatema does not belong there she is was too good…on the other hand lets wait.

Tebogo.
Tebogo.

I like this boy I like him a lot, like Dineo I don’t know how they didn’t make it to Top 16 last year but hey i’m not the judges. If it were up to Randall ONLY Tebogo will not go through this year again I tell you, Tebza seems to rub Mr Abrahams off the wrong way.

Mandla.
Mandla.

Another one from Eastern Cape, Yay! Mandla is not great but okay. He seems to understand music better than most in that competition *shakes head side-ways* I will put him through with his churchy-gospelli kind of sound. His sound resembles Luther Vandross somehow.

Daniel.
Daniel.

Boss you may have been Randal’s favourite that he predicted you making it to Top-10 but, D-A-N-I-E-L you’re going home! Beautiful voice however he fails dismally to enunciate and that he cant diversify his voice.

Chrystal.
Chrystal.

Chrystal chrystal chrystal…I enjoyed your interpretation of Taylor’s shake it off so I will let you go through.

Brudgitt.
Brudgitt.

Eish san, I think Bridgitt is not for this competition, her tone of voice is on some Dido, Alanis Morissette and Celin Dion vibe which made her rendition of Lorde’s TEAM sound too complicated and rehearsed.

Elwira.
Elwira.

Elwira sang J-Huds Giving Myself, light tone of voice but perfect!

Busisiwe.
Busisiwe.

Busisiwe Disappointed me big time, she did Amazingly well on the group stages when they sang Creep by TLC infact she was the one I though carried the group with that high Siphokazi wamacala Soprano voice. AND she was given a feel good song that could have been easy to execute, yena ZERO enthusiasm I’m sure Lira was shaking her head if she was watching the show. I’m afraid but you’re going home.

John Neil.
John Neil.

When I speak of someone that understands music I speak of John, not a brilliant vocalist but Good.

Karabo.
Karabo.

I noticed Karabo on the groups stages and he didn’t disappoint on Maxwell’s Pretty wings as well.

Amy.
Amy.

Eish Amy my love, Charlie XCX’s Boom Clap was the death of you.

Lihle.
Lihle.

I don’t know whether to blame the song that I’m accustomed to its up-beat motion or her voice because she had flu… you’re going home my darling and please don’t come back next year…si-grand nguwe vah.

Ndumiso.
Ndumiso.

She looked and sounded too confident for my liking I think when Unathi called her Beyonce on group stages that immediately flew to her head…take a seat honey!

Thami.
Thami.

Thami’s looks misled me, I though he would be shy on stage as he looked off stage. Brilliance came out of his mouth.

Nonhle.
Nonhle.

Nonhle is awesome but her looks don’t scream IDOLS. but we will wait and see if she wins voters.

Siphelele.
Siphelele.

I feel Siphelele got lucky! he got lucky from the group stages because he didn’t know his lines and got lucky now for getting an easy to sing song. and I must say he NAILED IT!

Sizwe.
Sizwe.

Sizwe has a great voice but he looks troubled, I feel he has deep routed issues deep down in his head… I’m not putting him through.

All I can say is our judges have(had) a difficult job in selecting Top 16 for our country to fall-in-love with. Or kanjani?
