8 Movie Sequels To Look Forward To In 2015

Hi. How do you like your cup of tea?

I like my tea strong; my comfort drink should always be energising and  alleviate loneliness just like my movies. After a movie I want to feel refreshed, sometimes you’ll find me jumping off my high bed to check if I still can’t fly like Superman, or I pull the most fascinating karate moves (Sylvester Stallone taught me how to throw the coolest kicks) – man, feeling stronger than gogo’s early morning 5 roses. Honestly, you’ll never find me sobbing in the couch because Juliet and Romeo are so happy together, totally nothing like my “Thabo” who goes missing for 5 days of every week and catches up on sleep on the other two days.

Here are the sequels of the movies that knew where to pour the honey (I hope this doesn’t make you think of honeymoons or predictable happy endings).
In no particular order:

Furious 7 (fast and furious 7):
Fast-paced action movie taking off from Fast & Furious 6, featuring a lot of violence and adventure. We also get to see the late Paul Walker during the first few scenes.
Release date: 3 April

Hunger Games: Mockingjay, part 2.
Action thriller based on a novel about the continuation of the hunger games, following Katriss Everdeen who has survived the last two hunger games.
Release date: 20 November

Fifty Shades of Grey:
Romantic drama with a storyline that is based from the Fifty Shades trilogy (Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed). Seemingly, I am one of the few people who have not yet read the popular books but I am looking forward to the film which follows the life of a 21 year old female Literature student who falls for a troubled billionaire.
Release date: 13 February (day before Valentine’s, who wants to be my date? Okay. I’m kidding.)

Taken 3 (Tak3n – but I find it a little bit ridiculous, so…):
The action thriller we love to hate! I don’t know who’s left to rescue, as his daughter and ex-wife have been saved twice. By the looks of things, “the unluckiest man in the world” needs saving too and I guess that’s what he’ll be pursuing this time around. I’m just willing to watch it for the sake of curiosity and grandpa Liam Neeson – kaloku it’s his last Taken instalment.
Release date: 16 January

The Seventh Son:
Action filled fantasy movie focusing on the last seventh son who was born with superpowers. Adventure… 3D… Warriors. Do the math.
Release date: 6 February

Paranomal Activity – The Ghost dimension:
The name says it all.
Release date: 6 February

Pitch Perfect:
Musical comedy, much different from your normal teen / college movie, following the life of the humorous and still Fat Amy.
Release date: 15 May

Avengers: Age of Ultron
Superhero movie, not my usual cup of tea but the trailer caught my eye.
Release date: 1 May

Okay, there’s my Top 8. Do we have any in common? Will you be watching any of the ones on my list or have you watched some of the previous sequels?

Movie lovers are in for a treat this year it seems (The Fantastic Four, Spongebob: Out of water, Ted 2, Mission Impossible V, those are the few other popular ones that are upcoming but not on my list). But tell me, how do you like your tea?
