One of Tata’s most notable stances was that education is the most powerful weapon to change the world. He went on to say, “Without education, your children can never really meet the challenges they will face. So it’s very important to give children education and explain that they should play a role for their country”.
In light on this, I thought it would be a great idea to shine the light on some of the most educated celebrities in SA. After all, with all the fake qualification fanfare and superstars with ‘form three’ telling us…Lol ok let me leave it here. Below is the list…

Claim to fame: SA rap artist
Education: Hons degree in computer engineering from UCT
2. Lali Dangazele
Claim to fame: Actress, Presenter and Founder of Shakespearience.
Education: Masters Degree in Drama from the University of Witwatersrand…and currently doing her PHD abroad. Now that’s power!
3. Lehlohonolo Majoro
Claim to fame: Soccer player
Education: Graduated as a Radiologist from the University of Johannesburg. Don’t know the level of his qualification (undergraduate or post)…but let’s give him props. Most soccer players hardly have Form one!
4. Lindiwe Suttle
Claim to fame: Musician…and uhm…Mam Felicia Mabuza-Suttle’s daughter
Education: Master of Business Administration: Marketing and Entrereneurship from the Kennesaw State University. Slay!
5. Masechaba Dlengezele
Claim to Fame: Former Miss SA teen and Model
Education: Hons in Corporate Communications (UJ), Management Advancement Programme (MAP) from the Wits Business School… and she’s currently doing an MBA abroad.
6. Moshidi Motshegwa
Claim to fame: Actress
Education - An honours degree in literature from the University of the Witwatersrand and last I heard she was doing a Masters in literature.
7. Musa Mthombeni
Claim to Fame: YoTV and YFM
Education: He’s a qualified Medical Doctor (Wits)…Black excellence!
8. Noni Gasa
Claim to fame: Model, TV presenter …and an all-round gorgeous human being!
Education: BA Journalism (University of Johannesburg), IFA (China) MBA: Luxury Brand Management and Polimoda (Italy) Masters: Luxury Business.
9. Roxy Burger
Claim to fame: TV presenter and Producer
Education: Bachelor of Arts (Audiovisual Production Management) from UJ and Hons from Vega
10. Sashi Naidoo
Claim to fame: Actress, Model and Model Agency Owner…and FHM woman of the year alumni.
Education: Chiropractic Medicine at UJ…she was once dubbed the most educated model in SA, don’t know if that’s still the case.
11. Zakes Bantwini
Claim to fame: Music Maestro
Education: Diploma in Music Performance from UKZN and a social entrepreneurship programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (Gibs)
12. Zama Dube-
Claim to fame: YFM DJ
Education: Has an undergrad in Law and is currently wrapping up her Masters degree at Wits.
